Cycling on the Cape

In September of 2007 I went on the trip of a life-time cycling in Italy. Part of the reason the trip was so much was fun was related to the people who were in our group. What was amazing was the fact that here we all were in a foreign country on foreign bikes riding up and down hill and yonder, eating and laughing all night like we’ve been friends for life! I guess that’s what a trip like that will do to you!

Well, it was time for a reunion. We attended a friend’s medical school graduation in Maine, and afterward hopped down to Massachusetts to see three of the couples we met on the Italy trip. What a riot! These three couples have been friends for a long time but they graciously let us in as a part of their group. Two of the girls are sisters, and myself and the other girl quickly became their soul sisters!

We had a great time first in Boston, then out to the Cape, and finally ended the trip with a day cycling around Martha’s Vineyard! The lobster boil, boat rides, ferry ride, cycling and conversations were all sensational! It was great to reconnect with these friends. Hopefully we can do it again next year! Or maybe another trip to Italia…until then, Ciao!
